IFF holds sports meet in Dammam, Al-Hasa

Dammam, KSA, December 14, 2009: India Fraternity Forum organized a Eid Sports meet in Dammam and Al-Hasa recently which was participated by around 10 teams representing different regions in various sports activities held on the occasion.

The sports meet began at 7.00am with a march past by all participating teams and members. Each team was assigned a color code to easily identify the team memers. The sports meet featured many sports activities and games including running race, gunny bag race, slow cycle race, 3-leg race, long jump, frog jump, pot breaking, balloon breaking and the all time favorite tug of war. There were many games conducted for the children belonging to different age groups.

In Dammam the event was coordinated by Ibrahim Krishnapura. Abdul Sathar President of Tamilnadu Welfare Association inaugurated the event. The chief guest Abdul Sathar also spoke on the occasion and lauded the contributions of India Fraternity Forum towards various charitable projects back in India.























He also gave away prizes to the winners of various competitions held on the occasion. Team Challengers emerged as the overall champions. Faizal thanked all members, guests and sponsors for their support in making the event a grand success.

In Al-Hasa it was Mustafa, Iqbal Ankajal and Abdul Sathar who coordinated in successfully hosting the event which was inaugurated by Anwar Sha and Abdul Khader. Anwar Sha gave a preface on India Fraternity Forum. Speaking on the occasion he said that IFF has emerged as a leading association in uniting the Indian Expatriates coming from all over India and keeping with the tradition of unity in diversity. Stating that the IFF volunteers had done a commendable work during Haj pilgrimage, he lauded their collective efforts and voluntary service to the society.

Mr Sha also gave away the prizes to the winners of various competitions held as part of the sports meet in Al-Hasa. Vote of thanks was given by Iqbal Ankajal.
